In 2008, Dr Rana established a charitable education institute, Lokmani Memorial Degree College, at Seohara Bijnor in a rural region of Uttar Pradesh in India.

The vision for Lokmani is to be recognised as a leading higher education institution in the region. It strives to attract and develop talented students. Students that would not otherwise have the opportunity to receive outstanding higher education.

Over 30,000 students have benefitted from Lokmani's courses spanning futuristic curricula in business management, computer science, music, law, and pharmacy. And, to develop more and better educators, Lokmani delivers a B.Ed. programme to support the enhancement of schooling across rural India. Lokmani is the only institution in the region that has a 'Centre for Professional Development' (CPD) that prepares students for government and corporate careers. The Centre actively engages with business and industry in North India and arranges guest lectures, internships and placement opportunities for the students.
