GEDU is committed to delivering measurable impact at the local, national and global levels.

GEDU drives activity across all 17 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals – the SDGs, with individual institutions taking leadership responsibility for at least one Goal.

This builds on existing commitments to ensure:

• Academic programmes embed sustainable development principles

• Local community engagement delivers socio-economic benefits

• GEDU and individual institution strategies contribute to shared local, national and global objectives

Central to GEDU’s impact is its stewardship of CIFAL London, established in partnership with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research. Through CIFAL London, GEDU delivers training, facilitates knowledge exchange and supports leadership development aligned with the SDGs.

Together, these activities position GEDU as an active contributor to global development priorities–bridging education and practice, strengthening institutional capacity and enabling individuals and organisations to translate global frameworks into tangible, real-world impact.
